Chicago Michelin Star Restaurants - Rumi Spice

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which means it’s time to make your Valentine’s Day dinner reservations. Unless you have already booked your table months in advance, you may need some restaurant recommendations. Today we are sharing some of our favorite Chicago restaurants that have three things in common: they are all recent Michelin Star winners, they all serve select dishes made with amazing Rumi Spice saffron and they are all perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Michelin Star Winners, Chicago

The 2018 Chicago Michelin Star winning restaurants are:

A Michelin Star restaurant has received either a one, two or three star rating from the prestigious Michelin Star Guide. One Michelin Star means it’s a good restaurant, two stars represents an excellent restaurant while three stars signifies sensational service and top-notch cuisine. If you are interested in learning more about the history of the Michelin Star Guide, check out our recent post featuring the 2018 NYC Michelin Star winners.

To help you decide which restaurant to dine at for Valentine’s Day this year, our team has created a guide to each of these 2018 Chicago Michelin winners.

Acadia

Acadia is an airy, upscale restaurant serving seasonal, New American dishes inspired by the serenity and abundance of coastal Maine. Chef Ryan McCaskey sources many of the tasting menu items directly from the Deer Isle area and the restaurant itself captures details and nuances inspired from McCaskey’s childhood spent in Maine. Located in Chicago’s South Loop, Acadia strives for excellence and offers a contemporary menu with an extensive list of wine and cocktail pairings.

NAHA

A contemporary dining experience, NAHA offers imaginative dishes from both American and Mediterranean inspiration. NAHA chefs use fresh, seasonal produce and meats and cheeses from local farmers and growers. NAHA's menu will immerse you in a variety of dishes that will tantalize taste buds. Nestled in the heart of River North, your table at NAHA awaits.

Band of Bohemia

The first Michelin rated brewpub, Band of Bohemia is a funky yet chic brewpub located in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. Band of Bohemia infuses culinary flavors into house beers and pairs them with delicious global plates. Declared a “truly inspired gastropub” by the Michelin Guide, Band of Bohemia “produces its own utterly unique creations both in the glass and on the plate.”

Duseks'

Duseks’ offers imaginative pairings of high-end pub food and specialty beers. A new American restaurant in the Pilsen neighborhood, Duseks’ is located in one of the city’s historic buildings and offers diners an atmosphere that is both fun and funky.

Green River

A creative and upscale destination, Green River offers American fare and craft cocktails in a stylish, 18th-floor setting with patio access to soak in the sights of the city. Sadly, after two years of being a favorite Chicago spot, Green River officially closed their doors on January 24th. We know both our team and the Chicago community will greatly miss the delicious dishes of Green River.
