With the aroma and rich flavor profile of Rumi Spice saffron, you only need a small pinch to infuse your favorite dishes with a bold world of flavor. For liquid recipes, steep the saffron in a few tablespoons of warm (not boiling) water. Let the threads soak for about 15 minutes and watch a golden hue begin to emerge. After the saffron is finished steeping, add it to the liquid in your favorite dishes like saffron rice, paella, saffron tea, or even saffron ice cream.
Another way to bring out the full flavor profile of saffron is to crush the threads using a mortar and pestle to a powder-like consistency. We suggest this for non-liquid recipes or baking, like when making saffron bread or cookies.
