Ingredients
For the hummus:
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 2 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp Rumi Baharat Spice Blend
- ¾ tsp salt
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 can of chickpeas (Do not drain)
- Pita bread
For the baharat spiced Beyond Burger:
- 1 lb ground Beyond Burger
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Rumi Baharat Spice Blend
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ¼ cup pine nuts
- 1 onion, diced
Instructions
For the hummus:
- Blend the water, olive oil, salt, garlic, lemon juice, & tahini in a food processor until smooth.
- Add chickpeas (Do not drain) and continue blending for a couple minutes until smooth.
- Refrigerate while cooking the Baharat Spiced Beyond Burger
For the baharat spiced Beyond Burger:
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a skillet.
- Add onions and cook until it is soft and translucent.
- Add Rumi Baharat Spice Blend, salt, & pepper and then sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the ground Beyond Burger and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned.
- Add in the pine nuts and cook for 1 minute and remove from heat.
For plating:
- Remove hummus from refrigerator and serve on large plate.
- Create a pivot in the middle of plate and place the Baharat Spiced Beyond Burger in it.
- Serve with pitas or vegetables.
