Reviews
I love these blend of spices. I add it to my canned vegetable soup and it is delicious.
Thank you - that does sound delicious!! What flavor of canned soup do you use it with?
The Berbere and Baharat spice blends were both absolutely amazing smelling, and soon as you add some heat you get an explosion of aroma. Great with veggies and in any sort of curry. Savory but not spicy, seems to have a bit of sweetness and hints of cinnamon (although that's not one of the ingredients.) I think the Berbere is better suited to curries and is a bit more sweet than the Baharat.
I love these intensely flavored spices! Do you have recipes for them? Would love to try them with good recipes.
The Baharat and Berbere were both very fragrant and smelled wonderful although very similar. They will be wonderful on roasted veggies and soups. I will definitely buy the Berbere again. I did wish the cork tops were better secured. One can with a plastic shrink wrap on the cork and bottle. One had a piece of tape and one didn't have anything. The corks come out very easily. Packaging could definitely be improved. They were well packed in the shipping box/envelope with bubble wrap.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but this might be it because the heat is perfect in this blend.
